STARTING SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31

AND

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1

 

Our Tier One Worship Schedule

 

1.)  We will offer three worship services each weekend.  All are in the Church.  They are: Saturday at 5:30 p.m.;
       Sunday at 9:00 a.m.; and Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

 

2.)  Tier One mitigation asks us to limit attendance to 25 per service.  This is why we will take reservations for each worship.

 

3.)  To reserve a spot:

 

       — please call the Church Office (630.543.6909) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday;

 

       — or call the Office another time and leave a message (we will call to confirm).

 

       — or call me (Pastor) on my cel phone (630.797.8246).  If you get my voice mail, just leave a message I will call to confirm.

 

4.)  As for cleaning:

 

       — We are using ozone mitigation after worship on Saturday.

 

       — We will sit on the pulpit side (west side) of church at the 9:00 a.m. worship.  We will sit on the lectern side (east side) of church at the       
            10:30 a.m. worship.  We will also do a brief cleaning of common surfaces in between the two Sunday services.

 

5.)  We will return to our regular worship schedule — 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday — without reservations as soon as Tier            One ends.

 

6.)  Our Thanksgiving schedule will be: Wednesday, November 25, at Noon and 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, November 26 at 9:00 a.m.

Watch for these events at Saint Paul:

 

— Weekend Worship in Church: Every Saturday at 5:30 p.m.  Every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

 

— Sunday School: is on hiatus.

 

— Tuesday Night Bible Study: Began on October 20.  To maintain proper distancing we will meet in Church.  Class begins at 7:00 p.m.  We will         continue throughout December.  We are studying Exodus.

 

— Wednesday Afternoon Bible Study: Begins on October 28.  To maintain proper distancing we will meet in Church.  Class meets from 1:30 to         2:30 p.m.  We are studying Ruth.  Class will continue until Thanksgiving.

 

— Regular Voter’s Meeting: On Monday, November 9, in the Parish Hall at 7:00 p.m. 

     Top topics: a.) consider land purchase offer; b.) elect officers; c.) adopt 2021 budget.

 

— Other Meetings: Elder’s on November 9 (Conference Room); Council on October 19 and November 16 (Parish Hall).

AFTER ALMOST 20 YEARS OF SERVICE, Diane Nicewarner has announced, that as of December 31, 2020, she will be retiring as Church Secretary.  We wish to thank Diane for all her years of dedicated service to St. Paul.  Thus, the blurb below.

 

NEEDED:  Part-time secretary for St. Paul Church Office, 20-25 hours/week.  Must have excellent people skills for in-person and phone interactions.  Position includes typing, copying, filing, ordering supplies, and assisting Pastor and other staff as requested.  If you or someone you know is interested, please stop by or call the Church office (630-543-6909) for full details.  Job to begin ASAP.
