At the Call Day service held at Concordia Seminary St. Louis on
Tuesday, April 26, Pastor Kevin Peterson was introduced as the
new pastor for our church. We are so excited about the news
and look forward to welcoming him and his family to work with
us in God's Kingdom here at St. Paul!
A Word About Masks:
John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
On February 28th, the indoor mask mandate is expected to be lifted for most indoor settings.
Many of our brothers and sisters will find it difficult to shed their masks after 2 years. After all, they have become an integral part of our wardrobe and have provided a sense of security. Additionally some of our brothers and sisters have underlying health conditions where going unmasked may be too risky at this time. We are mindful that the COVID-19 virus is still present.
When masks become ‘optional’ we will continue to encourage and support our family in Christ who choose to wear their masks.
Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
“We conclude, therefore, that a Christian lives not in himself, but in Christ and the neighbor,” said Luther. “He lives in Christ through faith, and in his neighbor through love” (Freedom of a Christian, LW 31:371).
